Program Opportunities

The Joseph P. Dwyer Veterans Outreach Program of Putnam County in New York City provides veterans, current active military personnel, children, adolescents, groups, couples, and families with the opportunity to come together in support of each other. This gives them the chance to listen and benefit from each other's experiences with service-related issues through social activities and support groups. These may include:

• Reintegration Back to Civilian Life
• Returning to School
• Securing Civilian Jobs
• Re-Entry to Family Life
• Obtaining VA Services

Become a Mentor or Volunteer

Mentoring jobs are available. We welcome individuals as well as civil, youth, and religious groups to aid our organization as support services volunteers. You do not have to be of military status to volunteer. You can also support our cause with your donations. Learn about training to become a mentor.
